Did You Know? campaign to focus on ‘performance’ in February

06 February 2019

The next phase of Did You Know? launches today (6 Feb) and looks at issues relating to performance.

A theme is chosen each month, based on questions that we receive from our members. The aim is to highlight key issues and to make sure serving officers know exactly what they can claim as part of their role.

This month we will cover performance matters and will highlight what support might be available to members.

John Apter, National Chair of the Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW), said: “We have hundreds of Federation reps across England and Wales who are trained to the highest levels to give you the best possible support and representation across a wide range of matters including misconduct, equality, performance and post incident procedure matters and much more. Be reassured that we’re there to support you, and it’s really important that you know what that support means – and what your entitlements are under police regulations.

“Please get involved with this campaign – understanding your basic entitlements under police regulations is essential and that’s what this campaign will help you to do.”

This phase of Did You Know? will also look performance assessments, such as the Assessing and Recognising Competence scheme.
