Concern over the time Scottish police officers spend at A&E
New Police Scotland research shows a typical A&E visit can take up more than five hours of a police officer’s time.
David Hamilton, vice chairman of the Scottish Police Federation, said: “Our members are telling us that they are now regularly left escorting people to hospital or waiting around because there is nobody else to do it.”
